I found out yesterday that one of our customers has decided to close their restaurant. There’s still a possibility of reopening, but with each passing day and week, the likelihood becomes more remote. Small businesses close every day, but the events of the past year have certainly increased the rate they close, and perhaps forced the closing of profitable ones too.
Every one of these businesses represented someone’s dream. As a small business ourselves, we know firsthand the emotional investment put into starting and running a company. Making the decision to close is never easy whether the logical arguments are overwhelming or not. We sympathize with every one of those owners having to make that decision.
This is the biggest reason that we work upfront to help determine the viability of a business before ever asking a customer to sign a contract or send a payment. Closing your business may be the hardest decision you have to make as a business owner. We don’t want to hear that you had to make that choice.
With best wishes,
